Yes, you have your Leesa mattress and so you’re already sleeping better but like most things you can make it a better sleep environment. Turning your room into a sleep sanctuary is a great way to enhance the benefits of sleep on your Leesa. Did you know that certain colours are more conducive to rest and relaxation? Try painting your room with blue tones to encourage relaxation. Avoid purples in your bedroom, as those tones tend to stimulate creativity and the unconscious mind potentially causing vivid dreams or even nightmares. Declutter your bedroom. Clutter, especially in smaller bedrooms, can lead to stress, which will definitely disrupt your sleep. The darker, the better! Dimmer or softer lights can help ease your mind and body into sleep. Remove harsh lighting from your bedroom and replace with softer light. Install curtains for your windows to help block out natural and streetlight. We are BIG fans of blackout curtains. Keep your room cool and quiet. A warmer room is not ideal for sleep and can lead to restlessness and awakenings throughout the night. Instead, set the temperature between 15°C and 20°C. Ban technology from the bedroom. We are realistic and understand that’s a lot easier said than done. So, start off by avoiding technology for 30 minutes before bedtime. This tech-free time allows your brain time to slow down and prepare for rest.
